I can't unplug the connector from my Q8 home charger. What now?
As soon as you start charging, the connector is automatically locked for safety reasons. Normally, it is released again as soon as you stop the charging session. Is the connector still stuck? Don't worry—try the steps below:
-
Check whether the charging session has completely stopped.
Once the session has ended, the charging point should automatically unlock the connector. -
Unlock the connector via the home charging portal.
Do you have access to the Q8 electric home charging portal? Log in and go to “Charging points”. Click the blue charging point ID, scroll down, and select “Unlock connector”. -
Perform a full reset of the charging point.
Switch off the charging station completely via the electrical panel for at least 15 minutes. Then turn the power back on. The charging point should then automatically unlock the cable.
-
Try starting and stopping the charging session again.
First, push the connector firmly into the charging point once more. Then start a new charging session with your charge card and stop it again. Check whether the connector is now released.
Tip: Do not pull forcefully on the cable or connector while it is still locked.
