I tried to register but I received a notification that my email address is already in use.

If, during registration, you receive a message stating that your account has already been used, it means that you, your partner, or another family member has previously created an account with this email address.

In that case, do not choose register, but select forgot password instead. This will allow you to receive an email to reset your password. Afterwards, you can simply log in using your email address and the newly chosen password.
