An amount of €45.00 has been reserved in my account
If you use a bank or credit card to initiate a session at a Q8 electric charger, your bank will reserve €45.00 to guarantee the final payment.
If the available balance is less than €45.00, part of the remaining amount will be reserved for the charging session you will carry out. This is called a pre-authorisation, and is used by your bank to temporarily hold this amount in your account. Normally, the bank releases this amount as soon as the charging session is completed.
However, the reserved amount may continue to be held in your account for longer. This is usually indicated by an * or the message “reservation”. It takes a while to process the charging data, which means that the amount sometimes continues to be held for a few minutes after the charging session is complete. In some cases, for example if there is a technical problem, it may even be held for several days. If you encounter this problem, we advise you to contact your bank, as it is always the bank that reserves the amount. Q8 electric will only receive the amount for the actual kWh charged.
