With your Q8 electric charging card, you can charge your electric vehicle at public charging points that support the Q8 electric charging card. Follow the steps below to start your charging session. Beforehand, check whether the charging point is accessible with your charging card and view the rates in the appropriate app: 

• Private customer: use the Q8 app. Among other things, you can search for charging points, view rates, and track your charging sessions.
• Business customer: use the Q8 electric business app. You can use it to search for charging points, view rates, and track your charging sessions and charging costs.

Step 1: Connect your vehicle

Park at the charging point and connect your vehicle using the charging cable. Use the cable attached to the charging station, or your own charging cable if necessary.

Step 2: Hold your charging card in front of the card reader

Hold your Q8 electric charging card in front of the charging station’s card reader and follow any instructions on the screen. You do not need the app to start a charging session when you use your charging card directly at the charging station.

Step 3: Wait for the charging session to start

The charging station recognizes your charging card and authorizes the charging session. Once the cable is locked and the charging station indicates that charging has started, your vehicle will begin charging.

Step 4: Check that charging has started

Check the message on the charging station’s screen or your vehicle’s charging indicator. This confirms that your charging session is active.
